A Short Walk Round Some Forgotten Parts of Town

Having completed the day’s errands (mainly). I first visited London Road which still bears the scars of last year’s riots.

Then walked the “back way” to Reeves corner. Which enabled me to get a shot of one of the new generation of trams.

Halfway between London Road & Reeves Corner is a fairly new small housing development. I wonder if the people living there even know of the events which occurred, at the warehouse  formerly occupying the site, (within 2 or 3 days of my birth),  when a young man fatefully uttered the words “Let him have it”

A sign of changing times, the Polish flag displayed on the car which crept unnoticed into shot.

!00yds or so further on, at Reeves Corner itself, the site has been surrounded by hoardings on which scenes from the lifetime of the store are now displayed.
